2015 Shovel Racing World Championships Presented by Lowe’s Market – The Angel Fire Shovel Racing World Championships is back! Place your hindquarters in a steel shovel and tear down the mountain for your best time. Cash prizes and bragging rights make for intense competition at this exciting winter tradition!

February 6

Prime Rib Night at Elements – Enjoy a delicious Prime Rib on Special, every Friday and Saturday at Elements Fine Dining.

February 7

Race League: Giant Slalom – You may have up to eight people on your team including: At least one member of the opposite sex At least one snowboarder, skier or telemarker Races will start at 4:30. This is an all ages event! Points will be awarded for top six racers per team. The course will close no sooner than 6:00. At 6:30 all teams will treated to beer and soft drinks for ticket holding participants at the Village Haus.

Saturday Night Neon Rail Jam – Show off your skills at the Saturday Night Neons! Every Saturday night during the season, Angel Fire Resort will be hosting a Rail Jam at the Base Area in front of Lift #2. The features will vary throughout the season. Features are also lit with LED lights, for extra styling (so styley). Prizes and goodies will be given out for best tricks. This is an all-ages event.

USASA Slopestyle Competition – The Southwest’s best skiers and snowboarders compete on Liberation Terrain Park, usasa.org.

February 13 – 15

Members Winter Weekend – Schedule Friday: Members can ski for free! Saturday: Free first tracks, free hot dogs, chips and soft drinks. Participate in a Nastar race and best time in each category will win a $50 resort gift card! Enjoy free night skiing and a special member après-ski with wine and cheese in Chianti’s at the Lodge. Sunday: Free cross country skiing and lessons plus free sledding at the sledding hill!

Mardi Gras – Come and enjoy all the fun of Mardi Gras with Angel Fire Resort. Angel Fire will have specials, a parade, live music and beads beads beads!!!

Military Appreciation Ski Weekend, Hosted by Not Forgotten Outreach – Join Angel Fire for a military ski weekend for both active and retired military (and their families), February 20-22, 2015. Event includes discounted skiing, lodging, rentals and lessons. Please join us in Angel Fire for the Military Appreciation Weekend on Friday-Sunday; February 20-22, 2015. Hosted by Not Forgotten Outreach and the National Veterans Wellness and Healing Center.
